Limousin exhibitors parade champions in Medal of Excellence Show

KANSAS CITY— On Oct. 31, Tyler Dewey of Miami, Okla., evaluated the Lim-Flex and Limousin Level I Medal of Excellence Show, while Charlie Peters of Bellevue, Iowa, selected champions in the Junior Limousin Show.

2013 American Royal Lim-Flex Level I Medal of Excellence Show 

Lim-Flex Females

Linden Linthicum of Welch, Okla., exhibited the Grand Champion Lim-Flex Female and Division VI Lim-Flex Champion, JCL Katniss LNLM 207Z. She is a March 4, 2012, female sired by CALO Brickyard 902W. Reserve Grand Champion Lim-Flex and Division III Lim-Flex Champion honors went to ELCX Knowing 303Z, exhibited by Pinegar Limousin of Springfield, Mo., and Sugar Bush Cattle of Allen, Mich. She is sired by MAGS Xyloid and was born Nov. 1, 2012.

The Division I Lim-Flex Champion, MAGS Aulster, was owned by Magness Land and Cattle of Platteville, Colo., and was born March 27, 2013. Division I Reserve Lim-Flex honors were awarded to JCL Spirit LNLM 511A, an April 6, 2013, female owned by Linden Linthicum.

AUTO April 202A was awarded the Champion Division II Lim-Flex title. She was exhibited by Pinegar Limousin of Springfield, Mo. She’s a Feb. 6, 2013, female. The Division II Reserve Champion Lim-Flex was MAGS Acclaim, a January 18, 2013, female. She was exhibited by Magness Land and Cattle.

The Division III Lim-Flex Reserve Champion was exhibited by Rachel Booth of Miami, Okla. AUTO Bethany 252Z was born September 1, 2012.

The Division IV Reserve Lim-Flex Female was exhibited by Magness Land and Cattle with MAGS Zees, a February 8, 2012, female.

Champion Division V Lim-Flex honors went to MAGS Young At Heart, an Oct. 15, 2011, female exhibited by Shelby White of Adair, Okla.

Lim-Flex Bulls

The Grand Champion Lim-Flex and Division III Champion Bull was exhibited by Magness Land and Cattle with MAGS Zerography, a Sept. 2, 2012, son of MAGS Xyloid. The Reserve Grand Champion Lim-Flex and Champion Division I Bull, AUTO Boot Daddy 111A, was sired by CL Burbank. This March 2, 2013, bull was exhibited by Thomas Limousin of Leslie, Ark., Glendenning J Bar J Limousin of Lebanon, Mo., M&RLimousin of Bourbon, Mo., and Pinegar Limousin of Springfield, Mo.

The Division II Champion was MAGS Alpha Extra, a Jan. 2, 2013, bull exhibited by Magness Land and Cattle.

Division III Reserve Champion honors were awarded to JCL Thriller LNLM 897Z, a Nov. 12, 2012, bull exhibited by Linden Linthicum.

The Division IV Lim-Flex Champion Bull was SBLX Zip It, a May 3, 2012, bull exhibited by Sugar Bush Cattle of Allen, Mich.

The Champion Division V Lim-Flex Bull, WLR Reload, was born May 2, 2011, and was exhibited by Wies Limousin Ranch of Wellsville, Mo., and Edwards Land and Cattle Co. of Beaulaville, N.C.

Limousin Females

Cody Heavin of Springfield, Mo., exhibited the Grand Champion Limousin and Division II Champion. AUTO Zofia 439Z is a Nov. 13, 2012, daughter of MAGS. The Reserve Grand Champion Limousin and Division II Reserve Champion Female was MAGS Zitella, an Oct. 8, 2012, female sired by MAGSWL Usual Suspect 538U and exhibited by Magness Land and Cattle.

Division I Limousin female honors were awarded to MAGS Alyson, a March 16, 2013, female exhibited by Magness Land and Cattle.

The Division III Limousin Champion was awarded to ENGD Zenana 2074Z, a May 1, 2012, female exhibited by Emma Tobe of Lancaster, Ky. Division III Reserve Champion honors went to FC Zealous Angel, a May 2, 2012, female exhibited by Micaela G. Fosdick of Chenoa, Ill.

VL Zowie 230Z was selected as Division IV Champion for Korynn M. Clason of Beaver City, Neb. She was born March 4, 2012. EF Zaylee 573Z was selected as the Division IV Reserve Champion. She was born Feb. 9, 2012, and exhibited by Tanner Walden of Tonganoxie, Kan.

Maycee Ratliff of Westphalia, Kan., exhibited a Jan. 2, 2012, female, EF Zumba 341Z, who was named Division V Champion.

Dalton Edwards of Higginsville, Mo., exhibited an Oct. 28, 2011, female, SEEE Yea Baby to the Division VI Champion spot.

Limousin Bulls

Pinegar Limousin exhibited the Grand Champion Limousin and Division I Champion Bull, AUTO Black Coffee 512A, a MAGS Xylopolist son born March 4, 2013. ENGD Zip Line 2515Z was selected as the Reserve Grand and Division III Limousin Champion Bull. He was born Feb. 16, 2012, and is an AHCC WestWind W544 son exhibited by Hickory Bend Farm of Walling, Tenn., Circle R Ranch of Jacksonville, Fla., and Englewood Farms of Lancaster, Ky.

Ashley McKenny of Stillwell, Kan., showed the Division II Limousin Champion, Magic Black Dirt 109Z, born Oct. 6, 2012. Chester Arne of Kincaid, Kan., exhibited the Division II Reserve Champion Bull, BLR Zeek, born Sept. 21, 2012. 

2013 American Royal Junior Limousin Show

Shelby Lea White of Adair, Okla., exhibited the Grand Champion Female, MAGS Young At Heart. She is an Oct. 15, 2011, daughter of SAV Bismarck 5682. VL Zowie 230Z was awarded the Reserve Grand Champion Female title. Korynn M. Clason of Beaver City, Neb., exhibited the March 4, 2012, daughter of Wulfs Xistance V638X.

Charolais Ten Grand Sale brings in a crowd at the American Royal

November 14, 2013

Grossing $125,550, there were a total of 19 open heifers and 63 embryos in the sale. For the open heifers, the average was $4,803, while the embryos sold averaged $544. The high selling heifer, consigned by Summit Farms of Alden, Iowa, was lot 21, Summit Sophia A04 born Jan. 17, 2013, and sold for $10,500 to Stager Cattle Company of Troy, Ohio.

Sale attendees had the opportunity to buy a Ten Grand Ticket for the chance to select any heifer in the sale. The Ten Grand ticket winner was Dr. Gary Cooper from Granbury, Texas. He and his wife chose lot 18, SCF Soap Suds 136, born Feb. 15, 2013.

Two Wesson Charolais prints, signed by artist Michael Roberts, were also auctioned off in the sale, with Eaton Charolais of Lindsay, Mont. Being the winning bidder. The proceeds raised from these paintings will benefit an endowed Missouri AIJCA Scholarship.

Youth compete in Charolais Junior Heifer Show

KANSAS CITY—Exhibitors from around the country competed for top honors at the American Royal Charolais Junior Heifer Show held Saturday, Nov. 2, in Kansas City, Mo.

Judge Robert Alden of Hamilton, Mo., selected DSUL Lexi Z66 as the Grand Champion Female. The heifer waas initially named Senior Champion Female and was owned by Jeb Skiles of Dalhart, Texas. Reserve Grand Champion Female was Wal-Mar Caught On Fire 205 P, exhibited by Taylor Goering of McPherson, Kan.

AML Miss Blend 303, owned by Lawson Rowlett of Hurricane Mills, Tenn., was named Calf Champion Female. Shade Bunker of Sparta, Wisc., owned the Reserve Calf Champion Female, JAB Miss Elegance 304 PLD.

Senior Calf Champion Female was awarded to SC Cool Water, owned by Amanda Tinkle of Tomball, Texas. Tara Fountain of Thompson, Mo., was selected as Reserve Senior Calf Female with her heifer Miss HCR Leah 2301 PLD.

Shade Bunker of Sparta, Wisc., owned the Junior Champion Female, JAB Precious 225 PLD TW. Reserve Junior Female was awarded to MJ Miss Bellatrix 207P, owned by Megan Johnson of Beaver, Okla.

Charolais Breeders Classic brings seedstock producers to American Royal

KANSAS CITY—More than 30 Charolais breeders form across the nation gathered to participate in the Royal Breeders Bull Classic Saturday, Nov. 2, at the American Royal.

The Grand Champion Bull was WC CCC Devil’s Cut 3444 P, nominated by Wright Charolais and Cody Cattle Co., both of Richmond, Mo. This bull was born Feb. 14, 2013, and was sired by LT-WC Templeton 1483 Pld. The Grand Champion Bull received $5,000.

JAB Chief 301 Polled, nominated by J&A Charolais of Sparta, Wisc., was selected as the Reserve Grand Champion Bull. He was born Jan. 2, 2013, and was sired by Raile 2250 T077. He received $2,500.

Foglesong Charolais of Ipava, Ill., nominated the third overall bull, AF Burn Doctor D61. He was born Feb. 12, 2013, and was sired by TR Mr Fire Water 5792R. The third overall bull was awarded $1,500.

The fourth overall bull selected was AML Ghost Rider 210, nominated by AM Livestock of Nixa, Mo., and Oliver Livestock of Union City, Tenn. This bull was sired by Hoodoo Slasher 1144 and was born on Sept. 27, 2012. This bull received $500.

HF Ignite 1310 P was the fifth overall bull, receiving $500. He was nominated by Hankins Farms of Willard, Mo. The bull was born March 28, 2013, and was sired by B3 Wyoming Cowboy T752.

Exhibitors compete in National Roll of Excellence Open Charolais Show

November 14, 2013

KANSAS CITY—Greg Walthall of Windsor, Mo., evaluated the National Roll Of Excellence Open Charolais Show Saturday, Nov. 2, in Kansas City, Mo.

The Grand Champion Female, KBC SHF Ms Voodoo 6017, was owned by Katelyn Shaffer of Carthage, Mo., and before receiving national honors was selected as the Intermediate Female Champion. Reserve Grand Champion Female and Reserve Intermediate Female was awarded to BAR S Ms Megan 2744. This female was owned by Grady Dickerson of Paradise, Kan.

The Grand Champion Bull was MLL Project Fire 281 P and was owned by Mason Lewis of Monroe, Iowa. Before claiming the national title, this bull was named Junior Champion Bull. BJCF Watt Z36, owned by Bar J Charolais of Liverpool, Texas, was selected as the Reserve Grand Champion Bull and Intermediate Champion Bull.

Champions named during American Royal Hereford Show

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – ECR Who Maker 210 ET and RW KLD Mindy Too 4080 2020 ET won the grand champion bull and female titles at the 2013 American Royal National Hereford Show on Nov. 3, in Kansas City, Mo.
Judge Kyle Colyer of Bruneau, Idaho, sorted the 194-head open show and complimented the overall quality of the entries.

Grand and champion yearling bull honors went to Fawcett’s Elm Creek Ranch, Ree Heights, S.D.; John Tucker, North Platte, Neb.; Bushy Park Farm, Mitchell, S.D.; and Sullivan Farms, Dunlap, Iowa, with ECR Who Maker 210 ET. The April 9, 2012, bull is sired by DKF RO Cash Flow 0245 ET. Reserve grand and champion senior bull honors went to LED GKB Legend 108 ET, owned by Gary and Kathy Buchholz, Waxahachie, Texas. The May 1, 2011, bull is sired by CRR About Time 743.

In the female show, grand and champion spring yearling heifer honors went to RW KLD Mindy Too 4080 2020 ET, owned by Kaine Warnken, Schulenburg, Texas. The daughter of RW Ballistic 552 4080 ET was born March 10, 2012. Reserve grand and champion spring heifer calf honors were awarded to BR Anastasia 3023 ET, owned by Aidyn, Rylee and Bryden Barber, Channing, Texas. The March 2, 2013, female was sired by UPS TCC Nitro 1ET.

In the cow-calf show, DM Dominette 136, exhibited by Kati Fehlman of Junction City, Kan., was selected champion. The May 4, 2011, daughter of CL 1 Domino 955W showed with a March heifer calf sired by HH Perfect Timing 0150 ET. Reba and Justin Hurst of Nevada, Mo., exhibited the reserve champion cow-calf pair, H DeLHawk Athena 110 ET. The Jan. 29, 2011, daughter of CL 1 Domino 955W showed with a March heifer calf at side, sired by HH Perfect Timing 0150 ET.

Following the selection of the champions, Perks Ranch, Rockford, Ill., was named premier exhibitor. Purple Reign Cattle Co., Toulon, Ill., was named premier breeder. Square G Ranch, Thomas, Okla., exhibited the first-place get-of-sire with a group sired by C Thriller ET.

Prior to the open show, Judge Ken Geuns, Bath, Mich., sorted the 58-head junior heifer show. CRR 980 Bobbie 271 shown by John Hampton Cornelius, Kersey, Colo., was selected the grand champion heifer. Reserve grand honors went to BR Anastasia 3023 ET owned by Aidyn, Rylee and Bryden Barber of Channing, Texas.

American Royal Super Point Roll of Victory Angus Show winners named

KANSAS CITY–On Nov. 3, John Hausner of Dover, Pa., evaluated the Super Point Roll of Victory Angus Show at the American Royal in Kansas City. Hausner sorted through more than 130 entries to name his champions.

Females

The Grand Champion Heifer honor went to Silveiras Saras Dream 2335, born March 7, 2012, and owned by Wyatt Colburn of Visalia, Calf. She’s a Silveiras Style 9303 daughter and was first named Champion Junior Yearling Heifer. The Reserve Champion Heifer and Champion Senior Yearling Heifer, EXAR Winnie 5291, was exhibited by Sydney Schnoor of Chowchilla, Calf. This Dameron First Class daughter was born Sep. 4, 2011.

Keegan Cassady of Normal, Ill., exhibited the Reserve Champion Junior Yearling Heifer, Dameron Northern Miss 2122. She’s an April 19, 2012 heifer sired by EXG RS First Rage S903 R3. Herbster Forever Lady 1178, was named Reserve Champion Senior Yearling Heifer. She’s a Sept. 7, 2011 daughter of BC Lookout 7024 owned by Herbster Angus Farms of Falls City, Neb., and Miranda Raithel of Falls City, Neb.

The Reserve Senior Heifer Calf, Checkerhill Viola 235, was exhibited by Clayton Smith of West Plains, Mo. She’s a SAV Bismarck 5682 daughter born on Sept. 7, 2012.

Champion Intermediate Heifer honors went to Champion Hill Georgina 8205, a May 3, 2012 daughter of SAV Brave 8320. She was exhibited by John Reasor of Wildwood, Ga. The Reserve Champion Intermediate Heifer went to LCCC Lucy All Star 1231. She’s a July 7, 2012 daughter of DAJS All Star M243, and owned by Chris and Sharon Sankey of Council Grove, Kan., and Doug Satree Angus of Montague, Texas.

Cow-Calf Pairs
The Champion Cow-Calf Pair, Cherry Knoll Elisha 1146, was exhibited by Trista Bates of Manhattan, Mont. She’s an April 29, 2011 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C. Reserve Champion Cow-Calf Pair honors went to Jake Smith of Cullman, Ala., with QVS Georgina 2031. This SAV Bismarck 5682 daughter was born on Feb. 10, 2011.

Chance Greene of Powell Butte, Ore., was awarded Champion Junior Bull Calf honors with Greene Pokerface 1304. He’s a March 24, 2013 son of Silveiras Style 9303. Doug Satree Angus received Reserve Champion Junior Bull Calf honors with DAJS After Burn 714. This Feb. 4, 2013 bull is sired by SAV Brilliance 8077.

The Champion Senior Bull Calf title went to Doug Satree Angus with DAJS Rebound 630. He’s sired by DAJS Drover L111 and was born on Sept. 18, 2012. The Reserve Champion Senior Bull Calf, Wallace Challenger 280, was exhibited by Wallace Cattle Co., of Stotts City, Mo., and Carriers Muddy Creek Angus Farm of Lockwood, Mo. This son of PVF All Payday 729 was born on Sept. 4, 2012.

Champion Intermediate Bull honors went to BC II Skyfall 2812. He’s a May 8, 2012 son of BCII Money Makin Express 508 and is owned by Express Angus Ranches of Yukon, Okla., BC X II Farm of Sheridan, Ind., and JS Cattle Venture of Niota, Ill. Junior exhibitors compete in American Royal Junior Angus Show

KANSAS CITY—On Nov. 3, Robert Alden of Hamilton, Mo., evaluated 86 entries before selecting the Grand Champion Heifer in the Junior Angus Show at the American Royal.

The Grand Champion Heifer and Champion Junior Heifer honors went to EXAR Envious Blackbird 2611, exhibited by Sydney Schnoor of Chowchilla, Calif. She’s a Jan. 5, 2012 daughter of Dameron First Class. The Reserve Champion Heifer, SLL Keymura Katy 2081, also came from the Junior Heifer Division. Erin Steele of Anita, Iowa, exhibited this March 28, 2012 daughter of Plainview Lutton E102.

The Champion Junior Heifer Calf was EXAR Frontier Gal 3734 exhibited by Calli West of Paris, Texas. She’s a Jan. 10, 2013 daughter of Dameron First Class. Tyler Coleman of Modesto, Calif., exhibited the Reserve Champion Junior Heifer Calf, EXAR Envious Blackbird 3866. She’s sired by EXAR Classen 1422B and was born March 22, 2013.

Emily Brooks of Prophetstown, Ill., exhibited the Champion Senior Heifer Calf, EXAR Winnie 2900. She’s a daughter of Dameron First Impression and was born on Oct. 9, 2012. The Reserve Champion Senior Heifer Calf, WB Forever Lady 212, was born on Sept. 12, 2012. She was shown by Carter Ward of Plattsburg, Mo., and was sired by SAV Bismarck 5682.

The Champion Intermediate Heifer was Champion Hill Georgina 8205, exhibited by John Reasor of Wildwood, Ga. She’s a daughter of SAV Brave 8320 and was born on May 3, 2012. The Reserve Champion Intermediate Heifer title was awarded to Kaf Century Blackbird Missie and exhibited by Morgan Knapp of Bloomfield, Iowa. This daughter of Century Impressive 84 was born on May 9, 2012.

Sydney Schnoor led EXAR Winnie 5291 to the title of Champion Senior Heifer. This Dameron First Class daughter was born on Sept. 4, 2011. Conner Cole of Russellville, Ark., exhibited the Reserve Champion Senior Heifer, Wallace Primrose 1115. She’s a Dec. 8, 2011 daughter of WCC KLR Grand Torino 95.

The Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Bull was Daddy’s Money owned by Jones Show Cattle of Harrod, Ohio. He’s a Jan. 12 son of GOET 180 and first won Junior Bull Champion. The Reserve Grand Champion Bull was BBR A-Team 1A owned by Blind Badger Ranch of Fort Morgan, Colo. He also won Junior Bull Calf Champion. This son of BBR Rumor Mill was born April 2, 2013.

Reserve Junior Bull Calf Champion honors went to WAC Touchy Feely 11A owned by Will Alexander of Brookfield, Mo. This calf is a March 3, 2013 son of BFW Mitten Man Q35P.

RIGD Atomic 214, owned by Rachel Rigdon of New London, Iowa, was named Senior Bull Calf Champion. He’s an Oct. 19, 2012 son of RLN Moneyline. Reserve Senior Bull Calf Champion honors were claimed by WAC The Joker 149Z owned by Trace Alexander of Brookfield, Mo. He’s a Dec. 15 son of MCF Chaos.

The Summer Bull Champion was SSC Ima Ladies Man owned by Alex Sullivan of Mt. Olive, Miss. He’s a July 12 son of GOET 180. WCC Octane 198Z was named Reserve Summer Bull Champion. The bull is owned by Bar R Cattle and Weber Cattle of New London, Iowa. He’s a May 16 son of DCC The Man.

CCLT Slammin 94Z, owned by Cole Clanton of Bucyrus, Kan., claimed Reserve Junior Bull Champion honors. He’s a Feb. 13 son of GVC Statesman 91T.

Maine-Anjou Female Show Results

The Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Female title was awarded to LFCCBNWZ LadyK Maggie 2Z, owned by Brandon Oliver of Harper, Kan. She was first selected as the Junior Heifer Champion Female and was born on March 5, 2012. Reserve Grand Champion Female honors went to DAN Tamale, exhibited by Kenton Lain of Corydon, Iowa. She was first named the Reserve Junior Heifer Champion Female and born on March 18, 2012.

BBR Adrienne 395A won the Junior Heifer Calf Champion Female Division 1. She’s a March 19, 2013 calf exhibited by Blind Badger Ranch of Fort Morgan, Colo. Reserve Junior Heifer Calf Champion Female Division 1 honors went to Trace Alexander of Brookfield, Mo., with WAC Mystic 160A, a March 5, 2013 daughter of TLM Honor 024X.

Miss Maine Aim Sue 36A was awarded the title of Junior Heifer Calf Champion Female Division 2. She was born on Feb. 27, 2013 and was exhibited by Cody Duhaime (McCullough) of Allerton, Iowa. BBR Anastasia 397A, owned by Blind Badger Ranch, was named Reserve Junior Heifer Calf Champion Female Division 2. She was born on Feb. 22, 2013.

RGCC Sweetness 99Z was named Summer Heifer Champion Female. This May 12, 2012 calf was shown by Jaden Riley of Marshall, Mo. Xciting Delivery, exhibited by Hailey Henry of Lequire, Okla., was awarded Reserve Summer Heifer Champion Female. She was born July 28, 2012.

MaineTainer Female Show Results

The Grand Champion MaineTainer Female was Miss Whiskey Dreams 30Z, owned by Kori McLaughlin of Mediapolis, Iowa. This April 15, 2012 heifer was first named Junior Heifer Champion. The Reserve Grand Champion MaineTainer Female, BLPC Pistol Annie 26Z, was exhibited by Caden Jones of Harrod, Ohio. She was born on March 2, 2012.

The Junior Calf Champion was CHAM Miss Tippy, a March 16, 2013 daughter of GOET I-80, shown by Becca Chamberlin of Winchester, Ind.

She is a March 5, 2012, daughter of JF American Pride 0987X and was first named Champion Purebred Senior Heifer. The Reserve Grand Champion Heifer, Lazy H/Adkins Blkstar Z61, is owned by Anna Maulsby of College Station, Texas. She was born March 7, 2012, and is a daughter of SVF/NJC Built Right N48. She was named Reserve Champion Purebred Senior Heifer earlier in the day.

RS&T Ms. Grand 511A, led by Brendan McKnight of Savannah, Mo., was awarded Champion Purebred Junior Heifer Calf. She was born on Feb. 26, 2013, and is a daughter of AJE/PB Montecito 63W. This female, Z4FL, is a daughter of Vandes T714 of Mag, and was born April 1, 2012. She was first named Champion Percentage Junior Heifer.

The Champion Percentage Junior Heifer Calf, PFK Maxie’s Image 94A, is a March 4, 2013, daughter of TJ Sharper Image 809U. She was exhibited by Autumn Scheiderer of Irwin, Ohio. The reserve honors went to GGPF Burtie Sue A100, exhibited by Gibson Priest of Weatherford, Texas. This female is a Jan. 2, 2013, daughter of RRJS Steel Force 061U.

Joel Butler of Republic, Mo., exhibited the Reserve Champion Percentage Senior Heifer Calf. This female, GILLIG Up Gradie 2Z, was born Sept. 24, 2012, and is sired by Mr NLC Upgrade U8676. KANSAS CITY – Shane Bedwell evaluated the Purebred and Percentage Simmental bulls at the American Royal on Nov. 2, 2013.

Purebred Simmental Bulls

SVJ Lizzie’s Power Y32 claimed Grand Champion Purebred Bull for SVJ Farm of Amity, Penn. The Feb. 27, 2011 son of BMR Explorer first won Champion Senior Bull. CMFM Milemarker 185Z was awarded Reserve Grand Champion Purebred Bull honors for Circle M Farms of Rockwall, Texas. The Oct. 25, 2012 son of JF Milestone 999W first claimed Champion Senior Bull Calf.

In the Spring Bull Calf Division, Cloud Midnight Train was awarded champion honors for Kara Cloud of Carthage, Mo. He is a March 15, 2013 son of Mr NLC Upgrade U8676.

The Champion Junior Bull Calf title was awarded to SVJ One and Only A111. The Jan. 5, 2013 son of CLRWTR Shock Force W94C was exhibited by SVJ Farm of Amity, Penn. The Reserve Champion Junior Bull Calf title was awarded to MSC Pork Chop A330 SJW. The April 10, 2012, daughter of Remington Lock N Load first won Champion Junior Heifer.

The Champion Spring Heifer Calf title was awarded to SS/PRS Precious Cotton, exhibited by Shoal Creek and Sanders Ranch of Excelsior Springs, Mo. She is a March 17, 2013, daughter of MCM Top Grade 018X. CLOUD Upgrade Girl 403A followed into the Reserve Champion Spring Heifer Calf slot. Kaitlyn Cloud of Carthage, Mo., exhibited the March 15, 2013, daughter of Mr NLC Upgrade U8676.

SVJ Looking Up A354 was named Champion Junior Heifer Calf. McCaulley Curran Davis of Angleton, Texas, exhibited this Jan. 7, 2013, heifer sired by SVF Steel Force S701. SVJ Forever Lady A648 received the Reserve Champion Junior Heifer Calf title for her owners, SVJ Farm of Amity, Penn. She is a Feb. 9, 2013, daughter of SVF Steel Force S701.

Reserve Senior Heifer Calf honors were awarded to SA/SC Jewel’s Faith Z123. She is a Sept. 15, 2012, daughter of SS/PRS High Voltage 244X, which was exhibited by Sydni Akey of Kansas City, Mo.

Anna Maulsby of College Station, Texas, exhibited the Reserve Champion Junior Heifer, Lazy H/Adkins Blkstar Z61. This daughter of SVF/NJC Built Right N48 was born March 7, 2012.

SFI Enchanting Lady was awarded the Reserve Champion Senior Heifer title for her owner, Joelle Sylvester of Wamego, Kan. She was born Jan. 26, 2012, and is sired by Mr Hoc Broker.

Percentage Simmental Heifers

The Grand Champion Percentage Simmental Heifer, Playmate 1Z, was exhibited by Shilo Schaake of Westmoreland, Kan. This March 4, 2012, daughter of WAGR Driver 706T first won Champion Junior Heifer. The Reserve Champion Percentage Simmental Heifer was NPC Miss Lucky Gal Z101. This Feb. 4, 2012, daughter of Maximus 391, was exhibited by Audrey Scheiderer of Irwin, Ohio. She earlier won Champion Senior Heifer.

Champion Spring Heifer Calf honors were awarded to WLTR Dot 1A. She is a March 19, 2013, daughter of SS Ebonys Grandmaster exhibited by Cameron Rogers and Walter Cattle Company of Elk City, Okla. The Reserve Spring Heifer Calf title was awarded to PFK Maxie’s Image 94A. She was exhibited by Autumn Scheiderer and is a March 4, 2013, daughter of TJ Sharper Image 809U.

In the Junior Heifer Calf Division, champion honors were awarded to PY Twister Daughter 24A, born Feb. 28, 2013, and exhibited by England Cattle and Phil Yoder of Delaware, Okla. She is a daughter of GLS/JS Sure Shot Y18. The Reserve Champion Junior Heifer Calf title was claimed by PY Miss Magie 37A. She is a Feb. 5, 2013, daughter of Ultra Dream Catcher 97U, and was exhibited by Phil Yoder of Redding, Iowa.

Ms TR Upgrade 2916 was named of the Senior Heifer Calf Champion. She was exhibited by Tanner Howey of Rockwall, Texas, and is a Sept. 4, 2012, daughter of Mr NLC Upgrade U8676. The Reserve Champion Senior Heifer Calf award went to SFI Queen Heidi. She is a Sept. 2, 2012, heifer exhibited by Shilo Schaake, and is a daughter of CCCO Unlocked Majic.

Merry Meadows Simmentals of St. Joseph, Mo., exhibited the Reserve Champion Junior Heifer, ASR Ms Super Baldy Z2192. She is an April 20, 2012, daughter of RCR Augustus R54.

Stewart Katie 110Z claimed the Reserve Champion Senior Heifer title for Kylie Gana of Martell, Neb. She was born Feb. 14, 2012, and is a daughter of WAGR Driver 706T
